3D Studio Max

Animation & Kinetics

This is the area that I have the least experience in, it shows!
However, I am determined to grabble with the beast and who knows? Perhaps one day I'll put down my pencil and pad never to return....

The project for this term is to create a rigged biped figure to animate with later, my blueprints for the project are to follow.

1. Here is my initial sketch for the character that I am wanting to model.
I have tried to create something that keeps to the style that I like and will also
challenge my 3DS skills while not being too much for me to attempt.

2. My next step has been to begin modelling from scratch and as per instructions keep the
the model at a low poly count.

3. Continuing my model.
Have now added arms and feet to my model as well as the "armour" that I will be UV
Unwrapping in the next step or so.

4. Here is the template for my models "helmet" I have UV Unwrapped the section and will next use Photoshop to paint my designs onto the template.

5. Have added a basic texture to the model just to make it a little more like the finished character that I have in mind.
Am onto finishing the UV Unwrap desgins to help with the effect.
